Hair Loss Treatment

It’s normal to lose up to 100 hairs a day—this is part of the natural hair growth cycle. However, when hair loss becomes excessive or hair starts to thin noticeably, it can impact your appearance and affect your self-esteem. Hair loss may be caused by a variety of factors, including:

  • Hormonal imbalances
  • Certain medications and supplements
  • Health conditions like thyroid disorders, diabetes, or lupus
  • High levels of stress
  • Hereditary factors
  • Nutritional deficiencies
  • Natural aging

At The Wrinkle Wrangler , we use a PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) therapy to deliver the best possible results.

PRP therapy supports hair regeneration by activating hair follicles that are in the growth phase. The specific treatment plan is tailored based on the root cause of your hair loss.

HOW PRP WORKS

A small amount of blood is drawn from your arm and processed using a centrifuge. This separates the blood into three components: red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. The concentrated platelets, rich in healing properties, are mixed with plasma and injected into the scalp. This non-surgical, minimally invasive procedure encourages hair growth naturally.

HOW MANY SESSIONS ARE NEEDED?

We typically recommend 6 to 8 sessions, spaced monthly. After the initial course, maintenance or booster sessions are advised every 3 to 6 months.

WHAT IS THE RECOVERY TIME?

There’s minimal to no downtime with PRP treatment. Most patients can resume normal activities immediately after their session.

IS THE PROCEDURE PAINFUL?

We apply a numbing cream before the treatment to make the experience as comfortable as possible. You may feel a mild pinch during the injections, but the procedure is generally well-tolerated.

ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS?

Some patients might experience temporary discomfort, mild pain, slight bleeding, or headaches. These effects usually subside on their own.

WHAT SHOULD I DO AFTER THE TREATMENT?

  • Avoid showering, direct sun exposure, and intense exercise for 24 hours
  • You might feel tenderness or slight pain in the treated area for a few days
  • Refrain from using anti-platelet medications like Aspirin, Ibuprofen, or Naproxen for two weeks
  • If needed, apply a warm compress for 10 minutes, three times a day, for the first three days to ease discomfort and support healing by improving blood flow and growth factor activity
