NEUROMODULATORS:
Neuromodulators, also known as wrinkle-relaxing treatments, are injections made from botulinum toxin—a neurotoxic protein derived from the bacterium Clostridium botulinum.
These treatments are widely recognized under brand names like Botox®, Dysport®, Xeomin®, and Jeuveau®. They are designed to reduce the appearance of facial wrinkles by relaxing targeted muscles.
When a neuromodulator is injected into specific facial muscles, it temporarily reduces their activity. This softens the overlying skin and diminishes visible lines. Effects typically start to appear within 24 to 48 hours after the procedure.
Although the injection temporarily affects muscle movement, it is considered safe when performed by qualified healthcare professionals.
